about

Extrasolar was originally inspired by an interstellar object discovered in 2017 that was passing through our solar system ("Oumuamua"). Since the object was not from the Milky Way it made it 'extrasolar.' This fit the vibe of the song. The lyrics are a reflection on how fleeting our time on this planet is. Make sure to hold on to the good. "All that's left is some time with you."

lyrics

It can feel
You’re living in a dream world today
But things aren’t as they seem you know
The world is mostly space and all

You may look
Right through me when I go on a rant
But hear me when I tell you this
The things we have soon won’t exist

And all that’s left is some time with you
I hope it’s enough
And all that’s left is some time with you
I hope it’s enough

You may lift
Your head above the waves and the tide
But when you look around you’ll know
The elemental truth eludes

But I know
Transitions aren’t the easiest things
Especially when the happiness
Is tied so much to all of this

And all that’s left is some time with you
I hope it’s enough
And all that’s left...I hope it’s enough
